When I can’t sleep I lay in the dark and look at my phone. It’s a terrible habit but better than tossing and turning all night. It’s been a while since I had time to do an art project with the kids and decided to get some late night inspo from the gram. That’s how the kids say it now right? The next day I prepared an egg carton art activity for the kids. You can download the free printables below in Simplified or Traditional Chinese.
Ever since I went back to work full time the mom guilt has been hitting strong. Then suddenly schools and offices closed due to Coronavirus and we are spending 24/7 confined to our little apartment. I am thankful for this time we have together (even though we aren’t enjoying every minute of it!) Creating art has a cathartic effect. Activities like this are a nice break from school worksheets and working from home.
Don’t you love this egg carton alligator? He’s so cute. My son directed while I cut the pieces out. It was a lesson on collaboration indeed!
The alligator worksheet is only available in Traditional Chinese. The Simplified characters don’t have the same boxes that the egg carton bases can replace.
The activity sheets were designed to allow for your child’s creativity. They can color as they wish and add as many egg carton objects as they want. I thought it would be fun to have 1 lady bug, 2 goldfish, 3 flowers, and 4 alligator bumps.
