2025 is the Year of the Wood Snake. In Chinese astrology, the zodiac features 12 animals, and each year the animal is paired with one of five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, or Water. The Snake symbolizes wisdom, intuition, and elegance. When combined with the element of Wood, which represents growth, creativity, and vitality, 2025 becomes a year for growth, transformation, and new opportunities.
Sapphire is considered one of the lucky elements for those born in the Year of the Snake. You will notice I added a gemstone to this year’s snake photo frame.
When is the Lunar New Year 2025
While it’s often called Lunar New Year, it’s more accurately a Lunisolar New Year. The date varies each year because it’s based on the lunisolar calendar, which tracks lunar phases and solar years This year, the celebration begins on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
